Besednice Moldavite 36.77 g 50x34x23mm
20+ grams from this location is very rare, this piece has a few chips, see the pictures for all details. An epic, rarely seen size from the rarest location.
These pieces from Flat B4 have been spot touched to remove gray / white layer that occurs in spots on some stones from the acids in the soil over time. I could have had them leave them, but they were not very aesthetic so they were touched up at the mine.
We are very honored to offer these Besednice Moldavite Stones. The famous field has been depleted for years. These stones with the SKU # B1, B2, & B3 & B4 come from the remaining reserves of larger stones from Besednice. It is bitter sweet, when these are gone, there is no going back to get more.
Please examine all photographs, any nicks / dings beyond the common micro shiny spots to be noted have been photographed up close and appear as shiny / glass or white. Some pieces which do not have these extra photos are as good as it gets, very minor nicks / dings may be present as this is common for being in the ground 15 millions years.
The spiky hedgehogs as they are referred to, are the rarest and most sought after of all Moldavite. These amazing Moldavites are very hard to find on the market in any quantity as limited reserves are held by one source, and larger stones over 10 grams are extremely rare to see outside of collections.
Angel Chime refers to the way a small percentage of stones make a chime / ringing sound when tapped against another stone, less than 5% of Moldavites exhibit this feature. I would compare it to singing quartz
