Saffordite is a form of Obsidian (Volcanic Glass) found in the deep desert of Arizona, it is considered a Pseudo-Tektite. They are weathered down over millions of years.

A very good friend of mine collected these out in the Desert of Safford, AZ a few years ago. We sorted and cleaned them here at IVC using Water & Mineral Oil.

Once these are gone we will not be restocking them. These took 3 years to collect the better quality.
