Hematite after Magnetite Pseudomorphs from Payun Volcano in Argentina.

We only have 4 flats - 137 of these super rare mineral specimens. These were last found around 2004, and only once or twice before then.

Long ago they were Magnetite Crystals and through oxidation and other chemical reactions the molecules of the Magnetite changed into Hematite while maintaining the original crystal structure.

Pseudomorphs are amazing minerals and represent the ever present change that occurs within our world.

Hematite is an iron oxide mineral (Fe2O3) found in rocks and soils. It's metallic grey to black, or rust-red, with a hardness of 5.5-6.5. It's one of the most important iron ores because of its high iron content of around 70%.

Metaphysical uses : Hematite is primarily utilized as a  protective stone for grounding and balancing of energy. It is a great meditation stone and comes in handy working with higher vibration crystals and stones.
